Office Policies

Office Hours

Chester Psychological Services office hours are by appointment only. We offer daytime and evening appointments and the appointment times are tailored to your needs.  For individuals: 45 minutes or an hour, and an hour to an hour and a half for couples and families. Fees are prorated according to the time you need.  To make an appointment, please call 908.879.7132, or 201.919.1297.  If you reach the voicemail, please leave a confidential message and you will be contacted within 24-48 hours.

Financial Policy

Payment is expected at the time of service. As an “Out-of-Network” provider, Chester Psychological Services does not participate directly with your health plan. We will provide you with a bill at the end of each month that you can submit to your carrier for reimbursement, and if you participate in a PPO or POS you may be covered for a substantial portion of our services.

If unable to keep an appointment, clients are asked to kindly give 24 hours notice, which allows the provider to offer the appointment time to other clients. If less than 24 hours notice is given, the client is responsible for paying the full session fee.

Confidentiality Policy

All information disclosed within sessions and in written records pertaining to sessions are confidential and may not be revealed to anyone without your (the client’s) written permission (by signing a release of information form), except where disclosure is required by law. The confidentiality policy will also be reviewed at the intake session with all clients. Our practice is HIPAA compliant, which means that any communication between you and our staff is protected health information which cannot be released to any other party without your written authorization. The only time confidentiality cannot be kept is if you are a danger to yourself or someone else.

Emergency Policy

We make every effort to return phone calls within 24-48 hours. However, if you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please call the nearest hospital, 911, or your insurance company for immediate help.

Fee Schedule

  • Initial Evaluation – one hour ( unless determined otherwise before the session: $250.00
  • Hour Session: $240.00
  • Hour and one half session: $360.00
  • Forty five minute session: $180.00

Supervision for professionals

  • 1 hour: $240
  • 45 minutes: $180
